Support our program can use:
Volunteer!

~initial $500 donation to be officially under the umbrella of an existing non-profit status.
~ there are costs involved in getting each new pet placed & easing pet care into the budget of each facility - it's roughly $1,000 per year per pet, so donations go toward food & vet care for each pet.
~ volunteers to learn what to look for in a facility in order to scout them out & deem them appropriate (eg: where pets won't have access to the exits & can't run out into traffic, etc)
~ facility & pet candidates for this program or help with the necessary changes they'll require to be eligible.
~  pro bono or sliding scale veterinary specialists to offer time & care for the animals on a preliminary & ongoing basis.
~ volunteers to train the facility staff to make sure the resident animals are all getting proper care as well as to check in on each facility from time to time to see what kind of support they could use.

~ Since the vision is for resident animals to be more the rule than the exception in nursing homes & long-term health care facilities worldwide,  this will require much pitching in in many aspects not yet even conceived of or accounted for.  We welcome your input, inspiration & ideas for making this endeavor grow & thrive...in time, perhaps there will be paying jobs involved for those who are dedicating their time & energy to this worthy cause!
